HomeMy WebLinkAbout568229 JILL R MOSTELLER - CONTRACT - AGREEMENT MISC - JILL R MOSTELLERLetter of Agreement between Jill Mosteller, Ph.D. and the City of Fort Collins This research agreement, dated 5/26/2016, is entered into between Jill R. Mosteller (researcher) and the City of Fort Collins (sponsor). The sponsor desires research to be performed in accordance with the Scope of Work and terms outlined in this agreement. This research is within the capabilities of the researcher and, herein, the parties agree to the following: 1. Scope of Work The researcher agrees to perform for the sponsor the research described in the Scope of Work attachment. 2. Term This agreement shall become effective on the date signed by both parties and shall terminate on completion of the project, unless agreed upon otherwise in writing by both parties. 3. Reporting Requirements The researcher will provide reports on progress of the research as requested by the sponsor. A final report will be furnished by the researcher at the completion of the project as outlined in the Scope of Work. 4. Confidentiality It may be necessary for the sponsor to disclose proprietary information to the researcher so she can perform the work described herein. The researcher will not disclose any proprietary information provided by the sponsor. If required, the researcher will sign a non-disclosure agreement provided by the sponsor. 5. Publication The parties acknowledge that the researcher has the right to publish research obtained from the project in an academic context. The researcher agrees that the sponsor shall have 30 days to review and comment on any proposed publication prior to submission. The researcher agrees that any proprietary information supplied to it by the sponsor during the course of the research will not be included in any published material without prior approval of the sponsor. 6. Payment The sponsor agrees to pay the researcher for the research performed under this agreement a price in the amount of $5,000 in accordance with the Scope of Work. _$2500___upon execution of this agreement by both parties. This will allow the researcher to acquire the necessary research resources to execute the project. _$2500__upon completion of the work – at sponsor’s acceptance of the final research report. Mosteller 5/26/2016 Jill Mosteller, Ph.D. 970-305-5848 / jillmosteller@gmail.com 1 Scope of Work and Proposal Wasteshed Community Survey Thursday, May 26, 2016 The Scope of Work* outlines the specific steps that will be performed by the researcher to execute the research project. Discussion of these items are recommended as key next steps that will inform the final scope and agreement. Community Survey Pre-design of Studies 1. Meet/telephone conference call with Wasteshed Project Manager and other key managers as needed. 2. Project management as required. Survey Design 1. Develop all individual survey items including respondent instructions and measurement scales. 2. Coordinate communication promoting online survey using resources provided by Larimer county related community agencies and organizations (e.g. CPIO). These organizations will be responsible for posting and promoting the survey link through their communication resources. This may include websites, email lists, social media sites, bill inserts as well as through f2f forums. Sampling Plan 1. Given budget parameters, a convenience sample of respondents will be solicited. 2. To maximize representativeness of community input, multiple communication sources and methods will be encouraged to solicit participation. Survey 1. Design online citizen survey. 2. Design online survey with appropriate screening mechanisms so participants reside/or use waste related services in Larimer County. 3. Incorporate appropriate questions to identify participant factors that may be relevant to the proposed wasteshed solutions being considered. Data Collection 1. Evaluate initial response rates and make interim recommendations (if needed) to maximize community participation. Data Analysis 1. Overall respondent analysis. 2. Segmented respondent analysis based on factors that identify variance in responses, provided a sufficient sample of each segment exists. Data Interpretation / Project Conclusion 1. Final report including interpretations of the data and research-based recommendations. 2. Disclosure of study limitations based on response rates. 3. Online report of overall survey results. * This Scope of Work is the basis for the project price of $5000. Significant deviations from the responsibilities outlined in this work scope document may result in a re-evaluation of project price charged.
