HomeMy WebLinkAboutCORRESPONDENCE - RFP - 8220 STATE OF THE RIVER REPORTScope of Work JOHNSON ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING, LLC February 1, 2016 To: The City of Fort Collins From: Brad Johnson, Johnson Environmental Consulting, LLC Re: Scope of Work for RFP 8220 – The State of the River Johnson Environmental Consulting, LLC (JEC) is being hired by the City of Fort Collins (City) to assist in development of the project deliverables for RFP 8220 The State of the River Report. JEC will provide services, assistance and consultation as requested by the City. The tasks that JEC will be expected to assist with are described below. Task 1: Preparation 1.1. JEC will assist with initial project immersion working with City staff to orient the team on the aims and methods of the River Health Assessment Framework. This will consist of preparation and participation in one meeting. 1.2. JEC will work collaboratively with City project leads to refine the methods established in the RHAF. This will include a few meetings with City staff and key Team members for discussions on a sampling plan for all metrics, methodology refinement, analytical approaches and further refinement of roles. 1.3. JEC may assist in designing the data platform, however, this task is primarily the responsibility of the team. 1.4. At the City’s request, JEC will participate in meetings with collaborating agencies and other staff within the City to establish data analysis, management and synthesis of metrics not handled directly by Team (estimate of three meetings). 1.5. JEC will help prepare for field work as requested by the City or Team. Task 2: Data Collection JEC will assist with the training and calibration of the rapid assessment aspect of the study and will be available to support data collection as requested by the City. Task 4: Report Development JEC will help support the development of the State of the River report as requested by the City. JEC will not produce the report, but instead will assist with determining content, organization and editing. Budget JEC will provide project assistance and consultation on a time and materials basis according to the fee schedule provided below. The Purchase Order amount of $15,000 will be treated as a do not exceed amount. JEC will not purposefully expend more than $15,000 on the completion of tasks unless receiving written authorization from the City. JEC will regularly communicate with lead City staff as to the amount left in the budget. The City will have the option of extending or augmenting the budget of this Purchase Order to cover additional time and materials beyond the duration and amount indicated in this document. Rate Schedule Fee Schedule: Personnel • Brad Johnson, Ph.D., P.W.S. – $115/hr • Other senior ecologists – $110/hr • Technicians ‐ $85/hr Expenses • Vehicle Travel – $0.55/mi • Travel Expenses – Federal rate • B & W copies ‐ $0.05 ea, color ‐ $0.75 ea. • GPS service ‐ $100/day • Indirect costs – 10% Direct Costs Brad Johnson, Ph.D., P.W.S. 1518 W.
