• Consultant selection based on qualifications
• Cost is not considered during selection process
• CDOT DBE goal of 0%
• City has overall DBE goal
• Ability to provide DBE is a scoring criteria

• Approximately 1,000 centerline feet
• Would be only unimproved section from Jefferson Street
to LaPorte Bypass
• City’s N College Improvements
• CDOT’s US 287 – SH 1 to LaPorte Bypass
• Outside City Limits but inside Growth Management Area
• Located within Larimer County
• US 287 is a CDOT facility
• Larimer & Weld Canal (Eaton Ditch) at southern limit

• CMAQ Funds - $752,000
• Local Match - $156,000
• Total - $908,000
• Funds to cover design, ROW and construction

PROJECT GOALS
• Create a multimodal connection to complete gap between
Canal and SH 1
• Support economic viability of project area
• Upgrade image of corridor while minimizing impacts
• Maintain compatibility with utilities
• Maintain compatibility with nearby floodplain and
floodway
• Coordinate with CDOT, Larimer County and Ditch
Company

Proposing teams should demonstrate understanding of
necessary time to complete each of the following:
• Preliminary Engineering
• Categorical Exclusion Clearance
• Final Engineering
• Right of Way Acquisition
• Construction (addressed through future bid process)

• Develop engineering plans of sufficient detail for ROW
plan development
• Develop approved ROW plans and begin acquisition
process
• Anticipate no local overmatch available for ROW
acquisition
• Further discussions and decision-making with Ditch

• Develop preliminary engineering level cost estimate
• Develop preliminary drainage report
