Heatheridge-Prospect Bike Crossing Design - Project Description and Scope of Services
Dear Dan,
Attached is the project scope and description:
Description
Interwest Consulting Group will provide plans for new curb returns, ramps and striping at Heatheridge and
Prospect and Lynwood and Prospect Intersections to facilitate easier bicycle travel from north to south. This
work will be in combination with the City upgrading the existing pedestrian signal in this area.
Scope of Services
Base Map – Interwest will import the topographic survey provided by the City.
Estimated Fee: $2,000
Civil Design Design – Interwest will work with Engineering, Traffic and FCBikes to develop a conceptual plan
for the improvements. After the City is in agreement with the plan, Interwest will prepare a demolition plan,
grading plan with applicable details and notes, and striping plan for the project.
Estimated Fee: $9,000
Meetings – Interwest will attend meetings as necessary for the project.
Estimated Fee: $1,000
Assumptions–
1. Utility and property owner coordination/negotiations will be led by the City with Interwest support.
2. Pavement section will be specified by the City.
3. No environmental or other NEPA studies will be required.
4. The project will be less than 10,000 square feet and will not require an erosion control report.
5. Any services required for the project not specifically discussed above will be provided by the City.
6. Interwest will not be the applicant on any permits.
7. Construction services are not anticipated.
8. Interwest will work with the City’s contractor on quantities and estimates.
