TRC Landscape Maintenance Scope of Work 2020-2021
Weed Control
• Meet with Project manager in the Fall of 2020 and the Spring of 2021 to determine best time for
Fall/spring herbicide application, Include another herbicide application for the summer,
July/August.
• Apply roundup to Smooth Brome in the spring, care must be taken to prevent application to
adjacent desirable species.
• Apply broadleaf herbicide to control kochia, prickly lettuce, these should be managed mainly by
hand weeding in the summer months. Include 8 hours every two weeks for two people from
May through the end of August for hand weeding.
• All weeds removed by hand weeding shall be bagged immediately and removed from the site to
prevent re-seeding.
• Apply round-up to active growth to asphalt cracks and gravel expansion area, apply a bare
ground herbicide to prevent germination– see exhibit.
Landscape Maintenance
• Mow the entire site to a minimum length of 5” once between October 2020 – February 2021.
• Maintain a 4’ swath along north side of curb as needed to maintain a minimum height of 5”,
maximum 12” as shown on exhibit
• Maintain a 3’ swath around monument sign as needed to maintain a minimum height of 5”,
maximum 12” as shown on exhibit
• Maintain a 2’ perimeter around all trees and shrub beds maintain minimum Height of 5”,
maximum 12”
• Maintain island around gatehouse minimum height of 5”, maximum 12”.
