Work Order: South Transit Center, Ticket Center Security Assistance Proposal
DESCRIPTION
This task is to provide documents for modifying the existing ticket center area to provide additional
security at the South Transit Center. Scope of the Project and/or Tasks will be defined by the agreement
and this task order scope.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Our scope of services includes an approach within the parameters set forth by the Master Agreement and
the tasks identified within this proposal. Our scope is further based on the information including areas
and limits as identified at the site visit with City personnel on February 1, 2019. The project generally
involves making modifications to the ticket center area to provide a security barrier between the public
and city staff which may include bullet resistance/security glass (level 2), a secured door, and associated
drywall and framing as appropriate. Both sides of the ticket center area are to be identical. For this task,
we have included Architectural services only.
All work outside of these parameters will be considered a change in services. Any scope of service
changes will be discussed with the City to determine an appropriate adjustment of the fees prior to
execution. The Scope of Services includes the following:
1. Design/Documentation
• Review existing design drawings to be provided by City, pertaining to the scope of work areas.
• Prepare reception counter modification drawings to incorporate added security. It is the desire of
the City to maintain as much as the existing casework as possible.
• Add a secured door and associated drywall and framing as appropriate.
• All product requirements will be included on the drawings; no specifications are planned.
• Create drawings in CAD or PDF format (at Farnsworth Group’s discretion).
DELIVERABLES
• Preliminary construction drawings in PDF format. One review meeting with City if required.
• Final construction drawing in PDF and AutoCAD format.
DESIGN TEAM
The Design Team selected for this project includes the following members:
Architectural: Farnsworth Group, Inc.
SCHEDULE
The schedule for the scope of work identified is to be completed within one month of the City’s notice to
proceed.
CLARIFICATIONS
The following services, items or components have been excluded from this Proposal.
• Existing drawing confirmation or verification not included. It is assumed City provided drawings are of
enough accuracy to use for backgrounds and creation of construction documents.
• Additional meetings or other meetings beyond those provided herein are excluded.
• Additional review of options beyond those listed, are excluded.
• Three-dimensional models (computer applications or hard models) not included.
• Front end, bidding or other City specific specifications or document preparation are excluded. It is
assumed these will be handled by the assigned City project manager.
• Bidding services are excluded.
• Additional design and/or review milestones, verification/review processes, or reporting are
excluded.
FEES
Farnsworth Group proposes to provide the described services for the fixed fee amounts shown below.
Changes to the scope of services and/or additional normal reimbursable expenses may increase or
decrease this amount. Any scope of service changes will be discussed with City prior to execution.
