Continuity of supply and uniform appearance for the specified exercise wear is a primary concern for PFA. Exercise wear will be purchased on an as needed basis throughout the life of the contract … .” “As needed” indicates a Minimum Order Quantity of 1 each. Please confirm this is the intent. If a proposal stipulated other minimum order quantity, will that proposal be considered responsive or not? “As needed” means that depending on our needs at a given time, we would place an order for the shirts, sweatshirts, and/or pants currently needed. This does not mean that we would be ordering every item and all corresponding sizes listed in the specifications each time we place an order. However, for those item(s) being ordered, we would be ordering no fewer than 10 each. 2. “E. Sustainability: Vendors shall include the following documentation in their submitted written proposal: a. Verification that apparel is manufactured using Sweatshop-Free Labor. b. Estimated lifespan of each proposed garment given normal wearing conditions.” The City has identified the desired products by Brand Name and style number. As such is it necessary to provide the ‘verification’ and ‘estimated life span’ required? Yes. As a government entity, we require this verification for official purposes to ensure that the products we purchase continue to meet our ethical standards. Also, while the City has previously used and therefore specified a particular brand and style of product, the manufacturer may have made changes to the product that would impact its estimated life span since we last bid it out. We rely on our vendors to have the most recent information available as they are our subject matter experts. 3. “Job Shirt w/ Canvas Details A. 82/18 Cotton/poly blend, Navy, 6 color Poudre Fire Authority logo embroidered left chest, first initial and last name (and title if a Captain or Chief) embroidered in red on right chest, PFA Fire/Rescue reflective full back (see images below).” Can you provide a make and style for this shirt? 5.11 Job Shirt: Style# 72321 Job Shirt with Canvas Details Color: Fire Navy (720) Is this the only garment with the ‘back’ imprint being reflective, or, are all the back imprints to be reflective? Only job shirt should have the reflective back imprint.
