Reason for Change: To add funds for out of scope requests by NAD and to document use of contingency funds. 2. Description of Change: Please see attached letter for task items reference and further details. The Natural Areas Department asked Biohabitats to analyze and re-design the river re-alignment portion of this project (item 1) and asked for 3-D renderings to visualize the north side fill area (item 2). The cost of these out of scope tasks totals $11,439.50. Items 3-4 in the attached letter will come out of contingency funds as these were unanticipated needs that were necessary to complete the scope of work. These tasks total $5,500.00 and are to come out of contingency funds. Contingency funds approved to date are as follows: 10% construction contingency $116,692.80 Change order 1 (goose fence) $17,197.60 Change order 2 (extra permitting) $ 5,500.00 Remaining contingency $ 93,995.20 3. They include the following items: 1. Active channel realignment analysis and design, including site visits and discussions with NAD, graphics development showing alignment alternatives, cross section revisions of selected alternative, revised plan production including proposed grading, coordination with Anderson Consulting Engineers (ACE), and related ACE modeling and regulatory efforts described in more detail in attached letter. 2. Fill area visualization, including 3-D rendering, conference call demonstration, and field meeting. 3. Additional services necessary to obtain City Floodplain Use Permit to remove berm prior to CLOMR approval, including ACE modeling and related regulatory coordination (further described in attached letter). 4. ACE efforts to address final unanticipated FEMA requests to obtain CLOMR approval (further described in attached letter). Fee estimate is as follows, with numbers corresponding to items listed above: 1. Biohabitats - $4,861.75 ACE - $4,600.00 Subtotal - $ 9,461.75 2.
