Background
1. In early 2015, the Fort Collins City Council adopted a Climate Action Plan with substantial goals to reduce
community greenhouse gas emissions 20 percent below 2005 levels by 2020, 80 percent below 2005
levels by 2030, and be carbon neutral by 2050.
2. As part of this plan, the City formed a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) to help guide the City's
efforts on greenhouse gas emission reductions. The committee started meeting in January 2016, and
includes a broad spectrum of business, social, and community representatives.
3. The City feels that professional facilitation provided by Trebuchet Group for the last 2 years has been
effective to ensure the diverse perspectives within this group are heard, understood, and applied to the
implementation of and communication around the City Climate Action Plan.
Primary Objective
Broad community perspectives are surfaced and focused to help guide staff implementation and
communication of the Fort Collins Climate Action Plan and related activities.
Service Provided
- Expert facilitation for eight, 2½ hour quarterly meetings of the Community Advisory Committee
- Support of related staff planning meetings around design of the Community Advisory Committee
meetings
- Documentation of conversations and results from quarterly meetings
- Regular feedback with staff and adjustment of the facilitation process as needed for effective results
Time and Fund Investment
The duration of this project will be 24 months, starting January 2019. All times below are estimated, and are
minimized through Trebuchet Group work and preparation around each meeting and assignment.

*To take advantage of this special pricing, 50% is due at the end of 2018, 25% at the end of 2019, and 25% at
the end of 2020.
The City is responsible for venues and refreshments for participants. Travel is not anticipated for this
project.
