Home My WebLink AboutCORRESPONDENCE - RFP - 8475 CIVIL ENGINEERING PROFESSIONAL ON-CALL (6)022 – Ped Bridge Replacement 2018 November 1, 2018 Ms. Jill Wuertz City of Fort Collins - Parks Ped Bridge Replacement - 2018 Project Description and Scope of Services Dear Jill, Description The Fort Collins Parks department plans to replace two pedestrian bridges on their existing abutments at Rolland Moore Park and near Glenwood Park and has requested that Interwest and Loris/OTAK assist preparing documents for bidding and construction. Loris performed an initial site assessment and preliminary field measurements on August 22nd. Based on this site assessment, they agree that this approach is viable. Their services for the project are estimated as follows: • Verify and supplement previous field measurements. (4 hrs @ $185/hr) • Detail the existing bridge and abutments. (8 hrs @ $120/hr + 2 hrs @ $185/hr) • Detail the proposed bridge and any required abutment modifications. (4 hrs @ $120/hr + 1 hrs @ $185/hr) • Develop plan notes and provide pedestrian bridge specifications. (2 hrs @ $120/hr + 1 hrs @ $185/hr) • Perform shop drawing & calculations review for the proposed bridges. (1 hr @ $185/hr + 8 hrs @ $120/hr) • Provide assistance as-needed during construction. (2 hrs @ $185/hr) Interwest proposes a $4,500 allowance for assisting with the bid package preparation. This would include a site plan showing the existing crossings for use in the documents and for any ditch crossing agreements that may be required. Interwest will also coordinate the work between the City and Loris. We do not anticipate a need for any surveying services for this work. Total proposed fee for this work order - $9,500.
