Can someone submit if they don’t meet every requirement? Yes. 2. Is preference given to local (in Fort Collins)? Yes. 3. What type of proof do they need of minority status? A statement of minority status in your proposal is sufficient. 4. Under D. Minimum requirements, are all 9 bullet points required, e.g. experience with 2-4 360 assessments, DISC certification, Social and Emotional Intelligence certification, etc. No, not all nine requirements are required. We do require experience with a minimum of one of the listed requirements in order to be eligible for consideration. 5. Under D. Minimum requirements, where stated "at least 20 hours of coaching training" - would you specify the type of coaching training you require from successful applicants? ICF (International Coach Federation) certification at level ACC (Associated Certified Coach), PCC (Professional Certified Coach), or MCC (Masters Certified Coach). 6. Our firm has certifications for some, but not all, of the current program offerings, and would need to partner with other, certified providers (within the JERA universe) to meet the current slate of courses. Can you clarify - are you looking for several vendors to do the training outlined in your two major training programs, or just one vendor for all? Are you also looking for suggestions for new material, new skills to enhance the existing framework? We are looking for one or more vendors to provide training and coaching services for either/or leadership or managerial programming. We would consider new material/new skills to enhance and accelerate the program goals. 7. Is it right that you want to keep the current format, or should we think broadly about current and future needs and recommend a new approach? We may recommend approaches that are similar to what you currently offer based on better outcomes, and cost-effectiveness too. We have been using the current format for approximately one year, so while we do not intend to make major revisions, we would consider new approaches. 8. As we read the RFP, Leading at the City includes coaching for 6 sessions for 40 participants during a year. Since coaching is voluntary for the Managing for the City program, can you estimate how many coaching sessions are usually sought by this group? Can coaching sessions be arranged in a video call format? Yes, six sessions for Leading @ the City for approximately 40 leaders; and perhaps, up to 2 sessions for approximately 10 managers. Our coaching preference is face-to-face. Addendum 1 Page 3 of 3 9. Will we provide assessments for these programs, (for example, DiSC) or does the City already have a vendor for the assessments listed in the program? The DiSC profile can be deployed by the City. All other assessments would need to be deployed by the vendor(s). 10. Can you share the name of the Social and Emotional Intelligence training model you are using? The Institute for Social & Emotional Intelligence (ISEI). 11. Do you have an incumbent who provides similar services to those described in the Request for Proposals? If yes, what advantage, if any, would such a vendor have in competing for the current project? What was most and least useful about previous experiences? Yes, there have been vendors who have provided these services in the past. The RFP process is designed to be is fair and equitable for all who wish to be considered for services and eliminate the opportunity for any party to have an advantage over others. 12. Why are you choosing to outsource this work rather than staffing it internally? We are outsourcing because we don’t have internal capacity or full capabilities to provide these services. 13. What is your preferred modality for the training sessions and meetings (in-person, virtual, blended)? Will all sessions and meetings be held using the same modality? Our preference is for in-person for classroom instruction and coaching sessions. 14. What is your budget for this contract? And if you are not able to disclose or do not know, what is the average hourly rate for similar contractors for the City? Typical coaching rate has been $195.00/hour and classroom instruction has been between $3500-$6000/day. 15. Can coaching sessions take place virtually (e.g. via Skype, Zoom or another platform) or should some or all be done face-to-face? Our coaching preference is for face-to-face. However, we would be willing to discuss virtual as an alternative.
