Questions and Answers:
1. Is bike rack surface mounted?
Answer: Yes. The bike rack is surface mounted and attached with bolts.
2. Sheet 8, Note 3 states the City will provide traffic control for pedestrian detour. Is this correct?
Answer: No, this statement is incorrect. The City requires the contractor to provide all traffic
control including pedestrian detours.
3. Is the contractor responsible for obtaining permits from CSU or the ditch company?
Answer: No. The City will coordinate with CSU and the ditch company. The contractor is
responsible for routine permits required by the City and State.
4. Will the ditch be empty and water flow shut-off?
Answer: Yes. The ditch water flow will be shut off and not running until April 15th. However there
are stormwater that drains into the ditch. Contractor is to plan for it.
5. Is the contractor responsible for any testing?
Answer: No, the City will perform the concrete testing.
6. Can the contractor utilize high early mix cement to accelerate curing?
Answer: Yes.
7. What is the approximate depth of the asphalt by manhole #2?
Answer: The depth of the asphalt is approximately 8”.
