Interwest will work with your department as well as King Surveyors to design a multi -use path connecting the
Tavelli Elementary School with an existing sidewalk south of the school. This multi -use path will be located on
the east side of Lemay Avenue and will use an existing pedestrian bridge across a canal. There will be a new
signalized pedestrian/school crossing to connect the new multi -use path with an existing sidewalk on the west side
of Lemay Avenue just north of Linden Gate Court. This project will go through the Colorado Department of
Transportation (CDOT) Local Agency process.
Scope of Services
Topographic Survey — King Surveyors (King) will provide a topographic survey of the project corridor.
The survey will include one -foot contours and platted property lines and easements on the east side of
Lemay Avenue. The survey will be tied to the City of Fort Collins Bench Mark (NAVD 1988) and will
be tied to the State Plane Coordinates, North Zone 1983/07. Utility locates will be ordered by King using
the One Call System and King will locate the utility marks made by the respective companies.
Estimated Fee: $5,000
2. Multi -use Path Design (Conceptual & FIR) — Interwest will prepare a conceptual layout of the multi-
use path. After approval of the conceptual layout, Interwest will move to the preliminary plans and
determine easement needs for the project. Interwest will prepare FIR plans, outline specifications and a
drainage report for submittal to the City and CDOT. The FIR plan set will include multi -use path plans,
grading plans, and drainage plans for the canal crossing. It is assumed that all work will be within the
existing Right -of -Way (ROW).
Estimate Fee $10, 000
3. Multi -use Path Design (FOR) — After the FIR meeting, Interwest will prepare the FOR plans,
specifications, tab sheets, estimates and drainage report for submittal to the City and CDOT. All
comments received during the FIR meeting will be incorporated into the plan set.
Estimate Fee $15,000
4. Bid Set (100%) Design — Interwest will address the comments from the FOR Submission and prepare the
drawings and specifications for bidding. No additional sheets are anticipated with the phase unless a new
drawing is needed for clarification.
Estimate Fee $3,000
