Project Description: Design a replacement HVAC system for the existing Senior Center building consisting of
approximately 42,000 SF.
Scope of Services: Provide third -party energy modeling and performance analysis to help the City and the
design team optimize the energy performance for the facility.
Support the integrated project design and delivery, using modeling to inform the design process Coordinate
with project team members to get inputs for the energy model. Compare energy modeling to the project
goals, prepare reports and share the results. Complete life -cycle cost assessment using modeling results,
incremental cost data, and economic factors. Provide assumptions, results and recommendations, actively
participate in design team discussions. See proposal dated February 11, 2015.
Professional agrees to perform the services

PROPOSAL
This Proposal is made, entered into, and effective as of February 11, 2015 (the
"Effective Date") by and between Ambient Energy, a Colorado corporation,
("Consultant"), and the City of Fort Collins ("Client"). This SOW relates only to the
functions to be performed by Consultant for the Client at the location specified
below, (the "Facility"):
Senior Center Mechanical Renovation, Fort Collins, CO
KEY ASSUMPTIONS
The project includes mechanical updates per the narrative dated February 5,
2015.
The energy modeling results will be used to gauge the energy use and cost
before and after the renovation. However, the pre -renovation energy model will
not be calibrated to energy bills.
Energy modeling results may be used in conjunction with an Efficiency Works
incentive program.
This project is part of contract 7497 Energy Modeling Services.
Any significant changes to these Key Assumptions may affect the Proposed Tasks
and associated Fee for the project. Client shall inform Consultant of any
discrepancies to the above listed Key Assumptions.
PROPOSED TASKS
Task 1 Energy Modeling
Review drawings and specifications.
Review pre -retrofit energy use data.
Meet with Client in Fort Collins to determine project goals, energy and carbon
reduction strategies and inputs to the model.
Coordinate with Architect, Owner, and engineers for inputs to the energy model.
Issue an Energy Model Summary Memo that lists project goals, inputs to the
energy model and energy saving and carbon reduction strategies.
Model the pre -retrofit conditions to determine energy usage and energy cost.
Model the renovation conditions to determine energy usage and energy cost.
Determine affects of the options on peak heating and cooling load.
Prepare Energy Recommendations Report via softcopy.

Meet with Client in Fort Collins to review Energy Recommendations Report.
Review 50% Construction Documents set for incorporation of energy efficiency
and renewable energy recommendations based on Energy Recommendations
Report. Meeting with project team via conference call to discuss review.
Additional Tasks to be Considered
The following additional tasks which could be provided by Ambient Energy could be
considered for this project however they are currently not included:
Utility data gathering and tabulation.
Calibrated simulation of pre -renovation conditions.
Schedule
The Project is estimated to be completed by June 2016. Ambient Energy's Proposed
Tasks are estimated to be completed by May 2015. If the Project Schedule is
extended more than 12 months past the estimated project completion date described
above, the services rendered shall be renegotiated.
Fee
Fees shall be billed at a ❑ lump sum rate OR ® time and materials rate based on
Selection of Payment Option by Client, unless additional services are requested by
Client that are not included In Proposed Tasks. Client agrees to pay Consultant
amount for accepted Proposed Tasks performed by Consultant.
Reimbursable Expenses
Reimbursable expenses including parking, meals, charrette folders, printing,
reproductions, mileage, parking, and deliveries ® are OR ❑ are not included in this
Statement of Work.

or for any incidental or consequential damages of any kind in connection with this
report or for the installation of recommended measures. Ambient Energy does not
guarantee the utility bills will reflect the energy model generated at the end of design
phase. Utility bills will reflect final construction submittals and actual operating
characteristics of the building which will not be captured in the design phase energy
model without performing measurement and verification services.
Invoices
Each invoice from Consultant to Client shall identify the Project and services
performed by Consultant on the Project and the total percentage of fee worked.
Invoices shall be paid per contract 7497 Building Energy Modeling Services.
Selection of Payment Option by Client
Client shall select below which task has been approved or not approved by selecting
