("GreenSheen") is a Colorado based company that has the capability to not only collect and process recyclable latex paint generated at the City of Ft. Collins HHW events, but also sell and re -use that product here in Colorado. GreenSheen thereby eliminates the environmental impact of land filling paints or shipping them nationwide while simultaneously supporting the local economy. GreenSheen is currently contracted with the Boulder HMMF to transport and recycle paints they collect at their brick and mortar facility as well as at their one day HHW events. We work in cooperation with Tri-County Health Department and various humanitarian organizations and are very familiar with operations of an HHW event and the demands these events present. GreenSheen is one of a small handful of companies in the country that truly recycles latex paints and the containers they are packaged in and we would be honored to assist the City of Ft. Collins with the successful and more environmentally friendly execution of its HHW events throughout the 2015 season. Description of Services Offered GreenSheen will attend any/all City of Ft. Collins one day HHW collection events and aid in the collection, sorting, transport and recycling of all recyclable latex paints gathered. We will be at the site of the event on the day of the event no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the event and will remain on site until the scheduled closing of the event. We will provide adequate signage indicating that latex paints collected will be recycled at GreenSheens Colorado facility and will be available for purchase at participating local retailers. Containers/ Equipment Provided: GreenSheen will provide an adequate amount of totes (1.6 cubic yards each) as well as bucks sizeable enough to collect and transport all recyclable paint gathered at each daily event. Manpower: GreenSheen will provide a minimum of 2 people to take -in, sort and place recyclable paint into totes for transport to GreenSheens facility for further processing. We will be in contact with a designated City of Ft. Collins employee prior to the event to gauge the size of the event and if additional manpower is deemed to be necessary we will accommodate. We will provide adequate Personal Protective Equipment as well as adequate food and water for all employees of GreenSheen. Otber Collection. Equipment and Manpower Provided by City of Ft. Collins: City of Ft. Collins will provide additional manpower to aid in the take -in, sorting and disposal of paints and other chemicals collected as well as provide adequate containers to facilitate the proper disposal of paints and other chemicals that are deemed by GreenSheen staff to not be recyclable in our process. Sorting Protocol: GreenSheen staff will sort all paints collected according to the following protocol which may be adjusted by mutual agreement from time to time as the parties deem proper: 1. GreenSheen will accept quarts, single gallon and five gallon containers of latex paints, stains or dear finishes. 2. GreenSheen will only accept containers that are at least 1/3 (or more) full of latex paints, stains or clear finishes. 3. GreenSheen will screen paint containers to discard any paint that is obviously solidified, has been frozen, is in a heavily rusted or otherwise compromised container, is not labeled to clearly identify its contents, is oil based, alkyd, varnish, lacquer or any paint or chemical product deemed by GreenSheen to not be recyclable in our process. Use and Recycling of Paint and Associated Containers: GreenSheen will process all recyclable latex paints collected into recycled content latex paints for resale by GreenSheen and its retail vendors as well as recycling all recyclable steel and plastic containers with local vendors wherever possible. Pricina: Each tote will be weighed when they are received at GreenSheens facility and each pound will be billed at $.30 per pound. This charge includes providing all required totes, collection, transportation and processing detailed herein. IMiging and Payment: GreenSheen will submit an invoice to a designated City of Ft. Collins employee (exact person to be determined) within 10 days after the event detailing the total pounds collected and the total dollar amount due.
