Questions and Answers
1. Do you require consoles that provide entertainment, if not I will quote standard
consoles? I am asking as some of the Star Trac specs list “Pre-wired for E Series PVS
entertainment system”.
Quotes should comply with the manufacturer’s spec sheets for the make
and models noted in the Project Scope of the RFP document.
2. Is this RFP for final decision of the Fall 2015 opening? Or is this a general quote for
budget of the future bid?
For the equipment listed on the RFP, this is the final decision on the purchase
prior to the opening. Funds have been allocated now to purchase equipment for
the opening in Fall 2015.
3. How brand- specific are you for your cardio? Will you accept bids from any manufacturer
who meets the specs?
We are asking for brands that meet the specs of the Star Trac equipment that we
listed on the RFP.
4. Will there be any more due diligence before purchasing that you will consider other
manufacturers?
The review committee will look at all the proposals and decide which
manufacturer, price and service will best meet the City’s business needs.
5. Will your facility be wired with Wi-Fi? What type of connectivity capacity will you have?
Yes; however, we would need more information on the purpose of the WiFi
and type of WiFi required. The City will not know the capacity until our business
needs are accessed, as we get closer to the opening of the facility.
6. Can reps meet with you in advance of the bid closing for introduction and product
information?
In order to ensure fair and open competition, the City only accepts information
included in proposals submitted via the channels listed on the RFP/Bid
document. Solicitation prior to the RFP opening date is prohibited.
