WE HEREBY ENTER OUR BID FOR THE PURCHASE FROM THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS,
THE 8000 CUBIC YARDS OF SAND PER THE BID INVITATION AND ANY REFERENCED
REQUIREMENT:
The City of Fort Collins has 8000 cy of sand to be removed from a deposit made at the North
Shields Pond Natural Area in last spring's high flows. The location of the deposit is
approximately 0.5 miles west of Shields. Access is via construction road accessible through
Larimer County Emergency Services property. The sand is well sorted and clean. The City will
consider zero dollar ($0) bids. The prevailing service provider or providers will be solely
responsible for hauling the material from the City site. The desire is to have the sand removed
by September 19, 2014.
The City will load the material for no charge and the service provider is responsible for all
equipment and hauling costs to their site.
Minimum haul amounts for each service provider will be 4,000 cy. and service provider may
start hauling by August 29, 2014 if the City has a signed Service Agreement and insurance
certificate as required.
Bid Schedule
The award for the contract will be based on the highest total bid including price per cubic
yard and total committed purchase volume of material. Additional awards may be made
by the City per total bid price subject to the availability of material.
In case of a tie bid, the City will give preference to service providers that are hauling the shortest
distance from the North Shields Pond Natural Area, Fort Collins.
Service Provider will haul material from the North Shields Pond Natural Area per City direction.

The City makes no guarantees that the total volume commitment of sand will be available.
