Mason St. 2nd Floor Fort Collins, CO 80522 Re: Rate Adjustment Dear Mr. Bonnette ; Per the terms of our current Agreement for 7330 Rivendell Recycling Center Operations, Waste Management of Colorado, Inc. respectfully submitted a request on December 10, 2014 for a rate adjustment of 2.85% effective March1, 2015. The increase was based on a 12 month average of the Consumer Price Index as published by the U.S. Department of Labor-Bureau of Labor Statistics as permitted in the contract. Supporting documentation was attached for reference. The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) for the Denver-Boulder-Greeley, Colo.,metropolitan area increased 2.85 percent from the second half of 2013 and first half of 2014, the U.S.Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Regional Commissioner Stanley W. Suchman noted that higher costs for shelter (5.0 percent) were largely responsible for the overall increase. Costs for energy were up 3.9 percent, food prices rose 2.0 percent, and the all items less food and energy index advanced 3.0 percent. Of note: “Energy” deals with home energy, i.e. electricity, home fuel or piped sources, etc. In addition, I have attached information which shows the credit (highlighted) for the glass hauls due the City dated 9/3/14. As always, it is a pleasure serving your community. We have enjoyed and appreciate the outstanding working relationship with you and City staff and look forward to continuing a long-term partnership and the unparalleled service we provide.
