The Legal Defense Fund is supported in part by voluntary contributions from NLC members. Funds
collected will cover fees for carefully selected litigation on behalf of municipalities where a court
decision or regulatory ruling could have a significant impact. The NLC board suggests a contribution
equal to 5% of a member city's annual dues. However, contributions of any size are welcome.
