Contract Bond was not included In the stairway pricing. Originally, the City was persuing a sole source for this work, but
1 Purchasing requried a contract because the scope of the work exceeded $50,000. The contract required a bond which was an
unforseen cost to CEI when they quoted the work.
Additional Steel Railing was requested by the City at the bottom level of the NRRC Ramps.
Electrical Ilghtings was not designed or priced with the stairway assembly contract. CEI has hired Sturgeon Electric to design
and install the lighting system. The City has approved the lighting design and pricing.
