DESCRIPTION:
1. Reason for change: Added Event Planning Within Existing Scope of Work
2. Description of Change: Transfort recently launched a new bus service, the first bus rapid
transit system on the Front Range. Similar to a private business launching a new product,
Transfort's new MAX route required extensive outreach, promotion and advertising. With the
goal of a community -wide celebration, communications staff and contractors developed a
launch day plan that included things such as a pre -event funding partners dinner to recognize
the significant financial support of MAX construction, a launch day breakfast and ceremony,
fourteen station parties, almost a dozen types of promotional materials branded with MAX for
distribution on event day and beyond, event decor and rentals, and videos to encourage event
day participation and continued ridership on MAX. The event was a huge success; the media
and community were pleased with all of the activities - it is estimated that more than 10,000
people participated in the May 10, 2014 events.
