EXHIBIT 1 – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Addendum 1 – 7635 Loomis Addition Historic Context Page 2 of 2
1) The scope does not specifically indicate a need for boots-on-the ground surveys.
Can you clarify what level of field inspection of the Loomis Addition neighborhood
is expected?
Answer: There is no pre-determined amount of “boots-on-the ground”
survey; what is required is whatever will be needed to develop a
comprehensive, detailed context of the Loomis Addition. The context will
need to thoroughly describe the land development patterns, architectural
styles, materials, and construction techniques present in the
neighborhood. While it is possible to glean this information through other
sources, there is no real substitute for “walking” the neighborhood.
2) Given that there are multiple goals for this project, what is the single most
important outcome for this project that the City would like to see occur?
Answer: The goals are all intertwined – the overarching goal is to have a
factual document that will help inform the decisions of City Council and the
Landmark Preservation Commission while also being interesting and
enjoyable to read.
3) Is there a preference of format for this context that the City would like to use,
such as the National Park Service’s Multiple Property Documentation Form
format or a general neighborhood addition narrative history format?
Answer: The expected outcome is a stand-alone document that would
more closely resemble a monograph. For good examples of previous
contexts prepared for the City of Fort Collins, please see
