a. Company history and experience in commercial painting services and repair as described in the
scope of work. Contractor must be licensed with the State of Colorado and the City of Fort Collins.
My name is Dennis Kintzley and I began Rocky Mountain Coatings as a commercial and industrial
painting and special coatings firm in Fort Collins in 1998. Although originally from Fort Collins and
painting commercially in Colorado since 1971, I worked from 1985 through 1997 in Alaska. Many of the
projects I worked on were Federal contracts – effectively working with the Army Corp of Engineers and
various other government inspectors and agencies. As owner of Rocky Mountain Coatings we have
completed a 5 year maintenance contract with the City of Fort Collins, currently hold the maintenance
contract for Larimer County and Colorado State University, and have done various industrial and
institutional and owner-occupied projects throughout Larimer County and northern Colorado. We are
fully insured for commercial and industrial painting services.
b. A narrative describing the services to be provided to the City.
We are submitting our bid for the painting annual contract. Our company has over 15 years experience
in paint application as well as special coatings and vinyl wall covering. We hang and finish drywall.
c. References from three or more organizations which have used your company for similar
products and services within the last two years.

h. Sustainability: All qualified firm/teams participating in submitting a proposal are to explain in
detail what their organization does in the way of a Sustainability Plan as a subset of this section.
This is to include as a minimum what you do in the way of use of materials, equipment, vehicles,
fuel, recycling, office practices, etc. as an organization that demonstrates in regard to sustainable
practices within your own organization.
Sustainability, in our company, is shown in the storage and re-use of materials whenever possible. This
means marking cans and leaving on site for future touch up and use. We leave material in such a way so
not just our company, but also owners and other maintenance staff can locate and use paint and
coatings for various touch ups. We also take pride in keeping volume estimates as close to applied
amount as possible which in turn reduces the amount of material left over as waste. On larger jobs, this
may also mean mixing only half or a third of material upfront and then proceeding to order the rest of
the material as needed. We utilize a 16’ trailer for job site storage of materials, tools, etc, to save time
and fuel cost of transporting goods needed daily on job site. We also recycle all possible office materials
including office paper, and field recyclables, like papers and cans, when it is safe to do so. We have vast
experience in using low to no VOC paints and keep our jobs clean in order to eliminate environmental
contamination.
