EXHIBIT 1 – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Addendum 1 – 7598 Backflow Prevention Program Page 2 of 2
1. Our experience suggest that supporting 2700 test reports/year would mean a
minimum of 10 simultaneous connection are required to support your testers. Our
software is partially priced based on the number of simultaneous connections
needed. Would you possibly want more?
Please provide your price to include ten (10) simultaneous connections.
A separate unit price can be proposed for additional connections above
ten (10).
2. We understand that you want the system to accommodate two in house
administrative users. Is there any expectation of needing or wanting more than two?
Please provide a price to include two (2) in-house users and a price per
use in the event that we add more in the future.
3. Our experience with utility districts has been that testers that file reports to the
district are usually registered and validated in person with the district before being
given a tester number. However, there are rare instances of districts enabling testers
to register online. Will your testers already be registered and have a tester number
before they will be able to file test reports online?
No
4. What operating system will you be using?
Windows Server 2008, r2.
5. In Section I. Project Description, it says "...the Contractor will be reimbursed for
services through a minimal fee to the customers for the backflow testing." Does the
customer, as far as the cost of a backflow test, pay the City and pay the tester? Are
they writing two checks instead of one?
One check, the City of Fort Collins will not be getting paid.
6. In. Section II.B.3 Scope, it says "Notifications shall include...". Does the awarded
Contractor need to include in mailed notices a list of certified testers to the customer
or direct them elsewhere?
Details such as this will be worked out with the awarded contractor.
7. In Section II.B.8 Scope, it says "To reiterate...". Does the tester need to request
authorization from the awarded Contractor to perform a test?
No
