Re: Proposal Quote (103) 2014 Yamaha Electric Golf Cars and (8) 2014 Yamaha Gas Golf Cars
Dear Doug,
Thank you for the opportunity to present this proposal to you and City Staff for new 2014 Yamaha Electric and
Gasoline vehicles. The new cars numbers were provided by Bill Whirty and break out as follows: (73) electric and (3)
gasoline for Southridge; (15) electric for Collindale; and (15) electric and (5) gasoline for City Park GC. There are a total of
(33) E-Z-GO gasoline trade vehicles that were inspected.
Of special note, Masek Yamaha has agreed to hold our pricing at $4008 per new electric vehicle which is the
same price supplied to the City in 2012 and 2013.
The information on our quote follows:
Agreement type, and payment structure:
A net-down purchase with a municipal purchase order issued on (103) 2014 model Yamaha YDRE electric golf
cars and (8) 2014 Yamaha YDRA gasoline golf cars.
Description of Yamaha units and included equipment:
A quantity of one hundred three (103) new 2014 Yamaha YDRE “Drive” model electric golf cars, Glacier White in
color, equipped with standard rain-drain top, sweater basket, Trojan T875 8 volt batteries, single point watering system
(Battery Fill System), 3 number decals per car and automatic charger and eight (8) new 2014 Yamaha YDRA “Drive” model
gasoline golf cars, Glacier White in color, equipped with standard rain-drain top, sweater basket and 3 number decals per
car.
Trades:
Masek’s will pick up the existing fleet of thirty-three (33) 2006-2009 E-Z-GO gasoline trade ins from Collindale
and City Park at the time the new cars are delivered. We have evaluated the trade in vehicles for damage and have
factored accordingly in our trade allowance.
Delivery:
We anticipate various delivery dates in April and May 2014 due to factory production schedules. We will
coordinate with the City to make sure there is a smooth transition on the equipment transfer.

Pricing:
(103) 2014 Yamaha electric golf cars @ $4008.00 per unit = $412,824.00
(8) 2014 Yamaha gasoline golf cars @ $3897 per unit = $31,176.00
Trades:
(33) 2006-2009 E-Z-GO TXT and RXV gasoline trade vehicles
Total New Car Pricing = $444,000.00
Total Trade Allowance = $48,675.00
Net Purchase Price (after trade) = $395,325.00
Warranty:
The 2014 YDRE electric golf car will have a four-year factory warranty and a four-year/23,000 amp hour battery
warranty. The 2014 YDRA gasoline golf car also carries a four-year factory warranty.
Additional Equipment:
Since City Park is switching from gas to electric golf cars, I would suggest that the City consider a watering system
de-ionizer for this course. Collindale and Southridge already have these systems in place.
Hydrolink De-Ionizer (converts tap water into demineralized water for battery longevity) $475.00
Insurance and Maintenance:
The City is responsible for all insurance and maintenance (other than warranty), and any loss or damage other
than normal wear and tear. Service contracts are available separately.
