The Standard Installation Service covers:  Physical Installation of Equipment  Cabling  Initial Boot and Test of Database Nodes  Initial Software Configuration  Connect to customer network  Configure of ASR/Remote support Do you feel that this will be enough initial support for you to take over the rest, or do you need more services than that? A1. In addition to the work listed as part of your standard installation service we also do need 4 databases and two listeners built/configured per the invitation to bid. Q2. Page 4, you are asking for firm fixed cost of support for 5yrs, I would not be able to provide that since year 2 support is increased by a certain percentage and then another percentage increase would occur in years 3-5. I can acquire an Oracle approval to allow you to purchase 5yrs of support upfront with no increase from the first years support, is this something you would be interested in? A2. The City prefers that the support cost be held firm for five (5) years with the option for four (4) additional one year renewals. If you are not able to provide a fixed price for the initial five (5) years, then please provide pricing in the format that you can offer it. Firms may propose another option – for support to be prepaid for 5 years - but the City may not be able to take advantage of it due to appropriation restraints. Q3. Page 4-5, the line items are missing power cords. Is it possible to add the power cords to the bid or perhaps lump in the power cords with the systems price? Or can we reference our quote in place of the line items on the bid? A3. Power cords should be included in the price for the system. Please use the City bid form to submit your pricing. Using the City form helps ensure that we are comparing the like product to like product. Q4. Are the Insurance Certificates required with the response or may we certify that they will be provided if awarded? A4. Insurance certificates will be needed from the awarded contractor at the time of contract signing. Q5. Can we email our bid response? A5. Email responses for bid submittal are not accepted.
