A request for quotes with plans and specifications was sent on March 21, 2014 to Signs Now, Davinci Signs, and Shaw Signs. A request of intent to bid was sent on March 26, and all vendors indicated they would provide quotes. On April 1, 2014, only one quote was received from Signs Now for $18,910.50. An Independent Cost Estimate (ICE) was prepared on March 20, 2014 for $25,593.42. I have reviewed the quote from Signs Now. The bid tab is accurate and the prices are reasonable at $6,682.92 below the ICE. Since the time of the bid, the quantities have been modified per the attached Revised Bid Tab. I recommend award to Signs Now and request a purchase order be issued for $12,548.50 based on the revised quantities and the submitted unit prices.
