SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Description of BID 7540: Elevator Maintenance & Repair
OPENING DATE: 3:00 PM (Our Clock) August 20, 2013
To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described
above, the following changes/additions are hereby made and detailed in the following
sections of this addendum:

Exhibit 2 – Elevator Tour Attendance

EXHIBIT 1 – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1. Many of the elevators did not have the proof of “5 year maintenance” tag. We did
observe a few but at least 50% were missing. Please confirm that all 5 year
maintenance is complete with the exception of the 4 newest elevators?
All 5yr maintenance inspections have been completed except the 4 newest
elevators as per conversation and invoice from A17 Elevator Inspections.
2. What year was the material lift at 4316 W. Laporte installed?
1986
3. What is the capacity of stage lift at Lincoln Center?
Unknown at this time.
4. Will the leaking seals on the stage lift at the Lincoln Center be replaced prior to the
new maintenance contract being awarded?
These will be repaired prior to the new service contract being awarded.
5. Will the leaking seals on all 3 elevators at the new Police Services be replaced prior
to the new maintenance contract being awarded?
Will be repaired prior to award.
6. Is the elevator at the New Museum of Discovery an inverted jack?
No.
7. Elevator # 24 – 417 West Magnolia – Schindler 3300 has proprietary software which
will make servicing difficult, how should this be priced out?
Please remove elevator # 24 from the list for this RFP. It will be addressed later,
after contractor has been selected.
