What level of design is expected for the alternatives development? And what level of detail is expected on the Preliminary Design of the preferred alternative? a. For the alternatives development I think line work on an aerial, and for preliminary design, maybe 10% design 2. Depending on the answer to Question No. 1, will the City provide a survey of the project corridor or should the proposer include a surveyor on their team? a. No plans for the City to do a survey, hoping to use CDOT resources since they are getting ready with their overlay project, if not some level of survey will be needed. 3. The RFP mentions “Transit improvements, including bus stop design and location” in Task 4. The Transfort Strategic Operating Plan identifies that, once MAX is implemented, there will no longer be a bus route along College Avenue. What is intended for this element of the Alternatives Development task? a. There will still be the FLEX route on College, which won’t be very many stops but need to be considered. 4. How will the results of the current Gateways study influence the design decisions/process for designing the corridor? Are changes to the South College and Harmony Gateway being considered or designed conceptually as a part of that study? a. The Gateways should inform the design, but the Gateways are intended for City Gateways, whereas there maybe corridor gateways for College to be addressed with this study 5. The design character and materials for streetscape elements are fairly well defined, and the themes for the three districts are described as Garden, Arts, and Technology, in the plan that is currently undergoing adoption. Does the Midtown College Avenue Corridor Plan move forward from these to provide more detail on where those elements should occur, or are there more alternatives that should be explored regarding branding, themes, districts, character? a. This new effort will build off the current Midtown Plan and will not reopen the big picture vision laid out. 6. What City staff members will be part of your interdepartmental team? Can you state who will be on the selection committee? a. Not yet determined (for either) Addendum 1 – 7548 Midtown College Ave Corridor Plan Page 3 of 3 7. Page 10 states that the proposal shall be “a maximum number of 12 double sided pages.” Would you please clarify if this means: A) six sheets of paper with 12 pages of text, or B) 12 sheets of paper with 24 pages of text? a. 12 sheets with 24 pages of text 8. What has the City has budgeted for this project? a. The budget as published in the 2013/2014 City budget is $200,000.
