Your interview will occur on September 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Conference Room 1A located at.215 N Mason Street in Fort Collins. For the interview, you will have 15 minutes for a formal presentation in response to the requirements of the Request for Proposal and then there will be a question and answer period of 45 minutes. We look forward to hearing more about your approach to the Midtown College Avenue Corridor Plan. The final outcome is intended to transform College Avenue into a world class street. We want to hear from you and your team what that means to you and how we get there. Considering the following: - This is not a capacity project, we know College will be 6 lanes now and in the future - This is a US highway, owned and operated by CDOT - Despite the desire to include bicycles there is a history of official prohibition of bicycling on College - Widening may prove difficult, how can the existing rights -of -way best be utilized - There are competing interests for the function of College; keeping traffic flowing as quickly as possible (for regional traffic and business access) vs. becoming more bicycle and pedestrian friendly - How do improvements to College Avenue relate to success of the Mason Corridor MAX Bus Rapid Transit - The vision for the Midtown area including College Avenue has been developed within the Midtown Plan, this College Avenue study is really the first implementation of that vision We are looking for a dynamic and responsive team that can help create an innovative and realistic design to make College Avenue a world class street.
