(Our Clock) • Where: 215 North Mason Street (2nd Floor) • Bid Documents are available at: http://fcgov.com/eprocurement 4 Project Location Map 3 5 Project Overview • Phasing • 150 calendar days • Each site allowed 90 days full closure • Provisions must be made if final pavement surface not constructed after 90 days • Mountain Avenue work cannot commence until Nov. 1, 2013 • Work within ditch must be completed by April 15, 2014 • Contractor to determine phasing • Concurrently? • In Series? 6 Project Overview • Coordination with others • City Water and Stormwater • Comcast, CenturyLink, Xcel • Mountain Ave. Trolley Tracks Group • Arthur Ditch Irrigation Company • Contractor responsible to acquire all appropriate permits and submit required documentation • SWMP – permit and inspections • Dewatering Permit if applicable • Partnering session prior to construction may be required • No designated staging area provided 4 7 Summary of Work – Mountain Avenue • Removal of 150’ of existing box culvert • Replace with 150’ of cast in place box • 118’ of 4.58’ x 19’, two transitions to existing box • Structural and roadway earthwork • Stormsewer work • 335 SY of 8” Concrete Pavement • Various concrete work and erosion control • Surveying to be provided by the City of Fort Collins • Traffic control to be provided by Contractor 8 Summary of Work – Myrtle Street • Removal of 110’ of existing box culvert • Replace with 110’ of cast in place box • 80’ of 4.58’ x 19’, two transitions to existing box • Structural and roadway earthwork • Significant grading • Waterline and Stormsewer work • 556 Tons of HMA pavement • Various concrete work and erosion control • Surveying to be provided by the City of Fort Collins • Traffic control to be provided by Contractor 5 9 Important Contract Dates: • PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING • Mandatory meeting prior to Start of Construction • Date to be determined after contract is awarded • CONSTRUCTION DATES • 150 Calendar Days total for both replacements • Arthur Ditch Replacement at Mountain Avenue • 90 Calendar Days under a Full Closure will be allowed • Provisions must be made if final pavement surface not constructed after 90 days • Cannot start until November 1, 2013 • Structure must be complete by April 15, 2014 10 Important Contract Dates: • CONSTRUCTION DATES • Arthur Ditch Replacement at Myrtle Street • 90 Calendar Days under a Full Closure will be allowed • Provisions must be made if final pavement surface not constructed after 90 days • Structure must be complete by April 15, 2014 • Final Acceptance is 15 days after substantial completion 6 11 HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS AND GENERAL REQ’S: • SUPERINTENDENTS: • The General Contractor SHALL employ a full time Superintendent whose sole responsibility is to monitor and coordinate all facets of the work • LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: • SUBSTANIAL COMPLETION: • 150 Calendar Days • Damages in the amount of Eighteen Hundred Dollars ($1,800.00) for each calendar day will be assessed. • FINAL ACCEPTANCE • Within 15 days of Substantial Completion. • Damages in the amount of Three Thousand Dollars ($500.00) for each calendar day will be assessed. 12 HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS AND GENERAL REQ’S: • WARRANTY: • 2 year warranty on all items • CONSTRUCTION TIME: • Standard Hours of Operation • 7:00 AM thru 6:00 PM - Monday thru Friday. • Given the scope and timing of the proposed improvements, the City will allow extended working hours • Extended Hours requests must be made at the weekly meeting prior to the request date • Both projects are located in residential areas • Hours will be strictly enforced 7 13 HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS AND GENERAL REQ’S: • PROJECT MEETINGS: • Once a week.
