HomeMy WebLinkAboutBID - 7544 OLD TOWN PARKING GARAGE CANOPY (2)ADDENDUM NO. 2 SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS Description of BID 7544: Old Town Parking Garage Canopy OPENING DATE: 3:00 PM (Our Clock) August 22, 2013 To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described above, the following changes/additions are hereby made and detailed as follows: Questions & Answers 1. The structural detail drawings indicate that steel knife plates will be attached below the level of the top of finished roof surface to the web of the structure. The Architectural elevations indicate that the knife plates will be above that level. Which is correct? Answer: the structural drawings indicate the correct condition. 2. The Roof Plan (C4/A101) indicates that the roof will taper at 5/8” / 12” to the roof drain in the east to west and north to south directions. Is this correct? Answer: The labeling on plan C4/A101 is not correct. The roof surface should ‘plane out’ using the top of the north edge of the roof surface as the starting point for the slope. Taper shop drawings will be required as per Project Specifications. 3. Will insulation substitutions be allowed? Answer: Substitutions will only be allowed if the project dictates a necessity to switch to a different material during the construction process.
