Thank you for your interest and response to the City of Fort Collins Process Improvement RFP# 7487.
1 sincerely apologize for the delay in our decision.
During the time between the announcement for proposals and our review, we were refining the focus
of our Performance Excellence Program. The project took a different direction when we involved a
broader scope of team members and executives. For example, we completed our own organizational
assessment and determined that a Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) methodology is a good first step
towards process improvement for our organization. Simultaneously, we have made significant
improvements to our strategic planning process and its integration with our budgeting process.
Along with implementation strategies for our Performance Excellence Program, our focus for external
assistance will most likely be for training for the PDCA methodology and tools. With limited resources,
we want to make sure that we are targeting the use of those resources in the most efficient and
effective way possible.
Because of the change in focus and scope of our Performance Excellence Program, the City has,
decided to withdraw and cancel RFP# 7487.: In the event that we decide to initiate a new request for
proposal for training in connection with our Performance Excellence Program please be assured that
your company will be included in the request for proposal notification, and we encourage you to
participate.
