College Avenue Through Traffic Study
Scope of Services
December 6" 2013
Task 1: Collect Through Traffic Data on College Avenue
The Fox Tuttle Transportation Group will subcontract with All 'Traffic Data to
collect motor vehicle traffic data in the College Avenue corridor. The data will be
collected for one day on Wednesday December 11, 2013. The data collection
will include the use of electronic devices that can be used to match vehicles
based on locations in exhibit A. The data will be collected as follows:
Video data for vehicle matching:
• 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
• Noon to 1:00 PM
• 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Tube counts with hourly summaries by direction:
• 24-hours (on the same day that video data is collected)
The data collection equipment will include:
Four bluetooth readers
• Four tube counters
Task 2: Analyze and Prepare Through Traffic Data Summary
The Fox Tuttle Transportation Group will obtain the processed traffic counts from
All Traffic Data and Miovision's data center. This will include vehicle matching
information and total traffic volumes as shown on exhibit A. This information will
be used to prepare summary graphics that show:
• Total daily and peak traffic volumes
• Percentage of daily vehicles traveling 'through" the corridor, summarized
by direction and peak hour
• Percentage of vehicles traveling a "portion" of the corridor, summarized by
direction and peak hour
• Estimate of total daily travel "through" the entire corridor and only in a
"portion" of the corridor
Budget and Timeline
The total cost of Task 1 and 2 will not exceed $7,500 including all expenses. All
of the data collection and processing will occur in December 2013.
