Heath Construction Pricing ChangeRequests #'s 12, 15, 19, 20, 21 & 23
Heath Construction was requested to provide Pricing_ Change Request (PCR) #12 in order to provide the
connection for the MSI Tech Enclosure toe the Main Entry Gate. PCR #15 was requested in order pt
provide pathways from devices to the data cabinets for the structured cabling: PCR #19 was required to
provide functionality of the tamperand flow switches after replacing the backflow preventer in the Fire
Protection System. PCR #20 was requested in order rto provide conduit for additional card reades. PCR
#21 was requested in order to provide additional conduit for cameras added to the system and to provide
four GFI receptacles on the exterior light poles'. PCR #23 was requested for an additional conduit for an
added camera at the southeast corner of the Chassis Wash and to provide power for the bell ringers
placed in the addition., All, of these requests were, necessary in order to complete the Access Control
System, the Structured Cabling, the Fire Protection System, the Security System and the Telephone
System, which are all essential to the functionality.of the Transfort complex.
The labor, materials and equipment costs proposed by Heath Construction were evaluated against an
Independent Cost Estimate and are consistent with pricing for similar work. As such, I find the cost of this
Proposed Change Order No. 11 in the amount of $14,691.69 to be reasonable for the required increase in
scope. As such, I recommend acceptance of this additional cost and the request for an additional 20
days to enable completion of these requests.

Independent Cost Estimate - Change. Order No. 12
Heath Construction Pricing Change Requests #'s 24 & 25
Heath Construction was requested to provide Pricing Change Request (PCR) #24 in order to raise the
ductwork in the maintenance shop at Transfort to be able to lift the new MAX buses to full height for the
mechanics to be able to work on them. When the new buses arrived, one of them was lifted in the shop
bay and it could not be lifted high enough for a normal height man to work under the bus. A design was
produced by Abrahamson Engineering then submitted to the Contractor for pricing. Abrahamson
Engineering also provided :a cost estimate from which the Independent Cost Estimate was derived. PCR
#25 was requested for an additional signage to be place over the remainder of the Overhead Doors
exterior and interior to the facility, per a request from the Transfort Operations Director. He was
provided with the plan and asked,to price the additional signage. Four of the signs are the same size as
those. installed under C.O.:#9 (18"X18"X3/4") and five of the signs for the interior doors were smaller
(12"X12"X1/8"). The Independent Cost Estimate for this work was prepared using the information from
the C.O. #9 ICE. This work is necessary for the facility to function properly with the construction of the
addition and the introduction of the,new MAX buses.
