EXHIBIT 2 – QUESTIONS, ANSWERS & REVISIONS
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Question: The bidding Documents say that it is 140 Calendar Days and then the
contract portion says that it is 140 consecutive working days. Please confirm which it is
since we are not allowed to work on the weekends.
Answer: See Section 108, subsection 108.08 and 108.09, Please note that the
contract is set up for 140 consecutive working days. The time clock will not be
charged for weekend days (unless and exception is granted), weather day or a
winter shut down days as determined by the Engineer.
Question: What is the Warranty Period?
Answer: Two years
Question: Are there any permits that we need to get for this project?
Answer: None
Question: Where are the tabulations for the Laporte Avenue, Overland Trail, West
Prospect and West Vine project areas?
Answer: Please review the tabulation in .pdf file for Section 02500. These areas
were collected in a previous year and are tabulated differently than those
collected and mapped in 2013.
REVISIONS
To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described
above, the following changes are hereby made and detailed as follows:
Section 604, subsection 604.06, page 27, delete the following two paragraphs.
Additional depth and length of inlets will not be pay separately.
“Additional One (1.0) Foot Depth” items for each inlet structure shall be measured
to the nearest one quarter (1/4) foot and paid by the lineal foot. The typical inlet
depth shall be three (3.0) feet, measured from proposed curb flow line to
invert. “Additional One (1) Foot Depth” shall be the basis to increase or decrease
payment when the actual depth varies. Payment shall be made in addition to the
“Remove and Replace” item.
“Additional One (1.0) Foot Opening” items for each inlet or deck structure shall be
measured to the nearest one quarter (1/4) foot and paid by the lineal foot in addition
to “Remove and Replace” or “Reconstruct Deck” item for the corresponding
structure. “Additional One (1) Foot Opening” items shall be the basis to increase
or decrease payment when the actual width varies.
Section 604, subsection 604.06, page 28, add; “Inlet backfill shall be with flowfill

material meeting CDOT standards and shall be incidental to the inlet cost. The
Contractor shall allow sufficient time for the flowfill to harden prior to placing curb gutter
or pavement adjacent to the inlet.”

The Contractor is encouraged to review the tabulations for these areas in Section 02500
and to assess the removal /repair markings in the field to accurately assess the traffic
control needs for these project areas.
