Following is the proposed schedule for the STEP II selection process: STEPII DATE Submit Information to Four Design/Build Teams Week of January 28, 2013 Pre -Proposal Meeting/Mini Design Charrette (1/2 Day) with Four Design/Build Teams February 5 and/or 6; 2013 Interviews with Four Design/Build Teams March 28, 2013 Select Final Design/Build Team Week of April 1, 2013 Notice to Proceed D/B Team Week of April 8, 2013 • Include with the proposal the Construction cost factors. o Establish in detail the factors which will be used in determining the final prices of work on time and material projects OR on negotiated guaranteed maximum price construction contracts. These factors shall be comprehensive in establishing all costs to be applied to direct project labor and materials in determining the construction cost. Commitments shall include: Overhead and profit (combined) margin for general office activities on the base bid cost. • Overhead and profit (combined) margin for field office activities on the base bid cost. • Markup on subcontractor work by the General Contractor. • Markup on materials and equipment on the base bid cost. • Markup on project labor or materials to determine the final contract price. • Change order markup, including supervision allowance, labor and material markups, and overhead and profit percentages, as a percent of labor and materials cost for any changes in the work following contract award. • You MUST submit the above requested information. The selection team will consider other methods of contract negotiations that the firm may have experience with. Firms are encouraged to submit basis for contract negotiation. • Your firm is expected and required to have a completely open book policy on all pricing of work. Your firm must follow Chapter 6, Proposal Evaluation Criteria, #3, Step II instructions from the original proposal.
