CTLITHOMPSON
CTLIThompson, Inc. is pleased to provide this fee estimate for geotechnical engineering
services for the Fort Collins Senior Center improvements in Fort Collins, Colorado. We
understand the proposed construction will consist of several additions and associated
parking areas. Additions will include multi -purpose rooms, restroom, wellness center, fitness
center, and administrative office additions.
Based on our understanding of the project, we propose conducting five borings for the
additions and seven borings in the area of the parking lot, conducting a laboratory testing
program and provide you a report with our design recommendations and construction criteria
for the new construction. The borings will extend to depths ranging from 10 to 30 feet or to
auger refusal. Laboratory testing will be selected based on soil/bedrock conditions
encountered. Testing will likely Included dry density, moisture content, swell -consolidation,
Atterberg limits, particle -size analysis, and water-soluble sulfate tests.
We estimate our fee for this investigation will not exceed $4,400. Our fee estimate is based
on our unit rates from our existing contract with the City of Fort Collins (2012) for on -call
services. We understand the fee estimate we are providing will be used for budgetary
purposes and to issue a work order.
We can begin work on this project immediately and anticipate completion within four to six
weeks of your notice to proceed. If you have any questions or would like us to modify the
