REASON FOR CHANGE
An existing gate valve in an existing manhole had to be modified to adjust the top of the manhole to the new elevation in

Richards Lakerrurnbeery Road intersection. This work included removing the old valve, modifying the manhole, fabricating
new bracket assemblies and installing a new manhole lid so that the valve is accessible by valve wrench.

Granite paver stones were provided to the contractor to "wetset" into the concrete pavement.
The bid price for sidewalk removal was bid as a SY cost, but the work was measured as a SF cost. This resulted in a very

high cost for sidewalk removal.
