SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Description of BID 7473: Tree Work - Block Pruning & Removal
OPENING DATE: 3:00 PM (Our Clock) February 20, 2013
To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described
above, the following changes/additions are hereby made and detailed in the following
sections of this addendum:
Exhibit 1 – Additional Information & Clarifications
Exhibit 2 – Overview Block Map
Exhibit 3 – Bid Schedule in Microsoft Excel format (attached as a separate file)

STATEMENT ENCLOSED WITH THE BID/QUOTE STATING THAT THIS
ADDENDUM HAS BEEN RECEIVED.

EXHIBIT 1 – Additional Information & Clarifications
• The Bid Schedule is available in Microsoft Excel format is attached to this addendum
as Exhibit 3.
• An overview map of all the blocks to be bid has been attached as Exhibit 2.
• The second to last paragraph on page 3 of the Bid Document shall be deleted and
replaced with the following:
“The City of Fort Collins will use the lowest bid prices from a qualified contractor,
or contractors, to award the work. The City reserves the right to award the bid on
a whole or partial basis and may choose to use more than one contractor to
complete the work assigned.”
• The Block 1 Bid Schedule is revised to include a pruning price for 200 E Laurel, the
40inch Plains Cottonwood tree. This revised bid schedule has been attached on the
following pages and is also included in Exhibit 3.
• The cutoff date for American Elms is May 1
st
. The Forestry Department reserves the
right to include additional tree types and to change this date based on climatic
conditions.
• Aerial Inspections will need to occur and significant tree defects will need to be
identified and brought to the attention of the Assistant City Forester in order to avoid
pruning a tree that needs to be removed. Pruning should not begin until it is certain
the tree will not be removed.
