Thank you for the notice. We had already completed our presentation and in fact had done some additional
research to consider an option for a slightly larger facility. We were going to offer the original project proposal
as well as this expanded project option based on our initial assessment of waste/biomass in your region. This
would have been an additional option for your consideration. Please keep us informed since we had already
sourced financing for this project if we were selected. 1 look forward to speaking with you again about this
project in the future.

We regretfully inform you that the City of Fort Collins is cancelling our Biomass Fueled
Generation Facility Request for Proposal (#7399). After careful consideration of the
City's project parameters, the team has elected to conduct a regional investigation in
driving a broader community approach. In doing so, companies such as IES, will have a
predictable biomass supply as well as potential funding models they can build a more
robust renewable energy project.
We look forward to working with you in the future and apologize for any inconvenience
this decision may have caused your company. Questions can be directed to Opal Dick,
Senior Buyer at (970) 221-6778.
Sincerely,
