RE: Change of use and minor plat for First Free Methodist
Church
As was discussed at the Conceptual Review of 2/3/92, the
First Free Methodist Church is in the process of purchasing
the existing First Christian Church at 608 E. Drake Rd.
It is our intent to use the facility for both our church and
church school needs. Since there is currently not a full
time church school at the facility, it is our -understanding
that we must apply for a change of use permit. In order to
comply with this requirement, we need also to have the site
platted since one did not exist. As part of the platting
process, it was indicated that we needed to indicate our
plans for any changes to the facility. ,
We do not at this time intend to make any building additions
or parking lot additions that would create additional
impervious surfaces or alter the existing drainage patterns.
The only changes we plan to make to the paved areas is to
comply with the parking code by providing for the 6% interior
landscaping requirement. In addition, a note has been added
to the plat that reads, "Any future additions or changes in
the amount of impervious surface on the site will require
approval by the Stormwater Utility and that any development
charges will apply at that time."
