The bidder received the award through the normal BID process. Bid prices for this project were higher than estimated. Parks Planning has contributed additional funds to the project budget addressing the overage for their portion. In addition, several items within the contract were value engineered. All landscaping and irrigation improvements will be installed in the spring of 2013 as a separate project. All funds are secured in order to complete the project, excluding the landscaping and irrigation improvements. The project is developer funded and broken down as follows: Engineering = $1,636,248.20 Parks Planning = $ 693,000.00 Contract Amount = $2,329,248.20 • This project will construct developer -required, City -approved improvements for the Maple Hill, Brightwater Landings, and Richards Lake Subdivisions. The project will be constructed in phases with the roadway and utility improvements being completed in 2012 under this contract. Landscaping and irrigation improvements are planned to be constructed in the spring of 2013 as a separate project. Jody, would you approve as to form and forward to the City Manager. Darin, would you please sign the contract documents and forward them to the City Clerk.
