RB+B will bring an energetic, focused, and experienced team to interact with representatives from the City, Beet Street and AIR. This is an exciting time to bring several groups together and brainstorm what could happen in this wonderful space. Here's how we see this process unfolding. Schedule: The very critical deadline for grant funding proposals is June 30, 2012. This short time frame of less than two months will help focus everyone's efforts — design team and owner/users — on a common objective of understanding possibilities, requirements and solutions of how to best use the building and site. RB+B will establish a schedule and keep everyone informed of interim meeting dates and deadlines to reach the end of June goal. Programming: The first step is for us to understand your unique needs for this facility. David, Rebecca, Denise and Josh will meet with your design team groups to discuss what is required and desired. We will generate a program which lists all the spaces and their areas. We can use this for comparison to the available building configuration to determine the best fit. 1T*ks I.n..gr... w/ 11R071 w,n.w.wn.w I . Structural, mechanical, electrical, IT and historical impacts will all be documented and will help inform the design solutions explored. Conceptual Design: As the physical design parameters are understood, conceptual floor and site plans will be generated with input from the landscape architect, showing interior and exterior spaces including plazas, parking, and entry to the building. The possibilities of introducing natural light by opening up the windows, removing or adding walls, floors, stairs, to make the building perfect for your use will all come together. RB+B and BHA will PROJECT APPROACH Fundraising Graphic. Jewish Community Centel Boulder produce attractive, colorful sketches to illustrate design solutions that are helpful to the owner/users for visualizing and can be used as aids in the fund- raising process. Construction Budget: Input from our proposed cost estimator Heath Construction, during the analysis will be crucial to establishing a budget and a phased construction plan. Phased Construction Plan: While the team is moving through the design process, we will identify portions of the project that can be phased. The design solution may be broken into several phases to match funding as it becomes available, but will function for the inhabitants at all times.
