HIGHLIGHTS OF GENERAL CONDITIONS
• Superintendents
The General Contractor SHALL employ a full time
superintendent whose sole responsibility is to monitor and
coordinate all facets of the work
• Liquidated Damages — Substantial Completion
If the Contractor goes past the 25 calendar days for
substantial completion, damages in the amount of Five
Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each calendar day will be
assessed.
HIGHLIGHTS OF GENERAL CONDITIONS
• Liquidated Damages —Final Acceptance
If the Contractor goes past the 10 calendar days for final
acceptance, damages in the amount of Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00) for each calendar day will be assessed.
Project Coordination Meetings
> Weekly On -Site Meetings (including ticket collection)
• Contractor to update Schedule weekly. The Contractor
may be required to submit additional Schedules
dependent upon progress of the project.
HIGHLIGHTS OF GENERAL CONDITIONS
• Construction Hours
Standard Working Hours are from 7:00am to 6:00pm
Monday through Friday
Weekend Work and I or Extended Hours Work may be
granted. Requests for either must be made in Writing a
minimum of 48 hours in advance. Requests are subject
to approval by the City of Fort Collins.
Special Conditions for College Avenue (SH-287)
o Work Permitted between 9:00am and 3:00pm
• Two Southbound Travel Lanes Open at all Times
o Temporary Closure of Accel. Lane is Acceptable
HIGHLIGHTS OF GENERAL CONDITIONS
• Haul Routes
Arterial and Collector Streets ONLY. Contractor will not
be allowed to use Residential Streets to access the site.
• Site Clean Up
The construction work shall be kept and accomplished in
a neat, clean and orderly fashion
Street sweeping may be required in order to minimize
vehicle tracking and to meet EPA storm water quality
requirements
Dust control will be required as necessary
TRAFFIC CONTROL
• Contractor Responsibilities:
Maintain vehicle, bicycle, pedestrian and Transfort traffic
at all times. ALL detour for ALL modes of transportation
shall be approved by the City prior to construction.
Maintain access to all local businesses
Review all upcoming lane closure needs and /or changes
in traffic control set up at Weekly Progress Meetings
Traffic Control Plans need to be submitted to the City 10
days prior to setup
EROSION CONTROL
Contractor Responsibilities:
s Erosion Control in accordance with Sheets 15-16
The Contractor is responsible for maintaining and
repairing all erosion control devices throughout the
project. This is incidental to the "Work".
> Contractor will designate an Erosion Control Supervisor
(ESC) prior to the start of construction. The ESC will
conduct necessary inspections and submit required
documentation to the City in a timely fashion. The ESC
will be responsible for meeting the City MS4 Stormwaler
Management requirements.
