Station Design I Fort Collins, CO
As part of a team, IBI Group is providing
a wide range of services including; Final
Design for BRT Station Area Planning,
Station Architecture of shelters and signage, Transit
Operations, Fare Collection Feasibility Studies, and BRT
MIS Plans. The station design includes a center island
platform with passenger amenities such as a shelter and
seating areas. The shelter design provides a unique and
easily recognizable identity for the BRT system. The design
allows for the Iconic elements of the shelter to remain
consistent while allowing for variety of cladding options that
reflect the individual site contextual setting. Integrated into
the design of shelter and platforms are the features of the
BRT system such as fare collection equipment, next bus
signs and branding.

Design I Aurora, CO
The 1-225 Corridor project is a 10.5-mile
proposed light rail line that connects the
existing Southeast Light Rail Corridor to the
future East Corridor Commuter Rail at Smith and Peoria
Road within the 1-225 corridor. IBI Group is responsible
for the station architecture, urban design, and landscape
architecture for the preliminary engineering phase. The
team completed final design for an extension of this corridor
to a new terminus station at Iliff Avenue. The station area
will consist of a new center platform, a four bus bay transfer
facility, and a 600-vehicle park-n-ride facility.

Avenue Bridge) Lakewood, CO
The 6th Avenue Bridge will provide a vital link
between the communities north of Highway
US 6 to the activity centers on the south
that will be a mix of residential and employment centers.
A steel tied arch structure was selected for bridge design
for its ability to span great distances without the need for
intermediate piers. The elegant arches frame views of
Denver's skyline to the east and the foothills to the west.
The basket handle arches are fabricated from a square
welded box made from weathering steel. The structural
strand cables are configured in a cross pattern and support
the shallow deck system. The bridge will be a prominent
feature of this corridor and was designed as a landmark
structure. Architectural enhancements include articulation
of piers and pier caps. An LED lighting system will light
the cross pattern cable stands. The lighting pattern is
symbolic of the peaks of Rocky Mountains to the west. IBI
Group is responsible for the architectural enhancement of

• IBI Group is fully committed to bring to bear all its 3D modeling and graphic design,
• resources to assist the City of Fort Collins with this assignment. Our graphic design
team has experience working with the City in producing high quality images and
• graphics for the MAX BRT project. We have worked with city staff in completing photo

• We are fully versed with the requirements to produce the end product. The extent

• perform on a daily basis routinely under stringent budget controls and tight deadlines.
Our graphic design team is well versed in a variety of graphic design tools and can
• easily adapt or convert previous City of Fort Collins documents to be used in future
• assignments. We possess the skills to meet and exceed the RFP requirements.
• IBI Group understands the end result of the project will be for Fort Collins to have
• photo simulation images for four (4) of the MAX BRT stations. At this time our
proposal is based on our understanding that the City of Fort Collins will provide the
• high resolution photographs to be used as part of the final rendering. Additional
• assumptions include:
• IBI Group will assist in station selection and scouting of sites.
• Assist with selecting photo perspectives.
• Provisions for meeting time with the City.
• Allowance of up to 2 formal reviews of photo simulation.
• Final deliverable of a layered Photoshop file.
• Only one view per station (for a total for 4) will be produced as a final photo
simulation images.
Approach
IBI group is responsible for station architecture for the Mason BRT project. We know
that each station relates to its site in a unique way and that each shelter along the
corridor was developed with its own character. We have in depth knowledge of the of
the shelter details and also civil, ITS, landscape architecture, public art and branding
for the BRT systems. As the designers of record, IBI Group has the knowledge and
accesses to the many details required to produce the station shelters and are able to
accurately and quickly implement these details into any shelter model required.
Our approach will be to have the designers of the station work closely with our graphic
designers to complete accurate 3d models of all components of the stations area.
Once these models are complete with work closely with City staff to select the views
that will meet the City's objectives.
We have worked with City using the same approach to prepare photo simulation
images and numerous graphic images for this project and implement a similar
approach in completion of the images for this project.
