Tech 221-6815 Consultant Engineer: • JF Sato & Associates BNSF Railroad Coordination Requirements: • Required BNSF Railroad Agreement between Contractor and BNSF — See Exhibit "C" in contract • BNSF will review box culvert design for precast box culvert - 4 week review period BNSF Railroad Coordination Requirements: The contract specifies a "work window" which is the 7 day full shutdown of the tracks for: • BNSF to remove rail, ties, & ballast (Day 1) • Structure excavation • RCP installation • 75' minimum box culvert installation • Spray on bridge deck membrane • Structural backfill • BNSF re -install rail, ties, & ballast (Day 7) • Day 8 the BNSF RR will be in full operation Currently Scheduled for July 23-29, 2012 BNSF Railroad Coordination Requirements: • The contract specifies a `work window" which is the 7 day full shutdown of the BNSF tracks. • Completing work in the time window is critical to the completion of the project • Contractor needs to be ready for this work window and have materials and equipment on hand for work • Failure to do so will be considered a breach of contract Anticipated Project Timeline for BNSF Coordination • Notice To Proceed — Mid -March • Precast design — 2 to 3 weeks • Submit Design for Approval — City & BNSF Review — 4 weeks — Address Comments — 1 week — Final Review — 2 weeks • Fabrication During June • AREMA Box Culvert & Slab available by mid -July • Installation anticipated for July 23-29, 2012 City Utility Coordination • City Utilities will install 1 valve on the 12" DIP waterline prior to construction and remove 162 LF of DIP waterline prior to construction • City Utilities will work around Contractors schedule to finish installing a 50' casing pipe, and 162 LF of 12" DIP waterline after the box culvert is installed Traffic Control • Traffic Control provided by contractor • 1 Lump Sum for all Traffic Control on the project including: Flagger Hours, TCS, Inspections & Traffic Control Devices • Contractor and traffic control subcontractor need to coordinate on construction • Full Time onsite TCS is not required - only during initial devices setup • Daily Logs required Traffic Control Sheet 40 shows an acceptable detour route and sheet 7 shows a summary of devices. • This detour route is required to minimize the detour for Mason Trail users • Additional Traffic Control will be required to bring in materials from Harmony Road • Additional Traffic Control will also be necessary at Troutman Road to barricade traffic from the workzone Haul Routes Access to the Site will be from: • Troutman Road on the east side of the box culvert • Mason Trail from Harmony Road on the west side of the box culvert • Mason trail is 6" Fibermesh reinforced Class D concrete on compacted fill • 5 CY maximum concrete loads on trail to Minimize damage to Mason Trail • If larger loads are delivered and damage occurs to existing trail, Contractor will be responsible for repair No Text EARTHWORK & FILL Section 203 & 304 -Structure Excavation — Paid per Plan -Structure Backfill (Class 1) — Paid per Plan -Shoring Area (Area 1) — Paid Lump Sum • To minimize excavation •4" Compacted Aggregate Base Course (Class 6) bedding — Paid per Ton -Excess material hauled to SE corner of Turnberry Road and Richard's Lake Road EROSION CONTROL Contractor will obtain and maintain the SW MP from the Colorado Dept of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) • The Erosion Control Plans provided are not the SWMP.
