Wadsworth Boulevard, N4-10C Lakewood, Colorado 80226 3031988-4969 FAX 303/988-4939 Dear Dean: The purpose of this letter is to request additional project budget for work items that Muller Engineering completed, which we believe are beyond the original scope of the project. This work includes the following: 1. Assist withNFRMPO TIP Applications At the request of City staff, Muller Engineering Company prepared intersection analyses and calculated intersection delay savings (current and future year) for the Horsetoothfrimberline and Timberline/Kechter intersections. One option was provided for the Timberline/Kechter intersection and two options were provided for the Horsetoolh/Timberline intersection. This information was used in thepreparation of the City's CMAO TIP application to the NFRMPO. Labor and Expenses 4 hours of Project Manager: 6 hours of Engineer I: Subtotal Labor Cost: @ $143/hour = $572.00 @ $82/hour= $492.00 $1,064.00 2. Prepare Vine/Shields Alternative Analysis At the request of City staff, Muller Engineering Company evaluated a roundabout option and a traditional intersection option for the Vine Dr/Shields St intersection. The two options were evaluated to provide acomparative analysis. The results of the analysis were documented in a technical memorandum that summarized operational and safety conditions, right-of-way, capital cost, constructability, and multi -modal considerations. Labor and Expenses 4 hours of Project Manager: 16 hours Project Engineer: 30 hours of Engineer I: Subtotal Labor Cost: @ $143/hour = $572.00 @ $112/hour = $1,792.00 @ $82/hour = $2,460.00 $4,824.00 3. Revisions to Vine/Shields Alternative Analysis At the request of City staff, Muller Engineering Company completed revisions to the Vine/Shields roundabout layout to avoid major impacts to the gas station on the northeast corner. Several layout options were evaluated to determine the best fit design. A cost estimate was prepared for the revised layout and the Alternatives Analysis report was updated to reflect the changes.
