In Division I General Requirements, Section 01 25 00, Substitution Procedures, Part 1 General, 1.2 Substitution Procedures During Bidding; please delete 1.2 entirely. There will be no substitution period during bidding. 2.) In Division 27 – Communications, Section 27 10 00, Part I General, 1.2 Project Overview; there has been some confusion relative to the need for the general contractor (bidder) to include communications (phone and data work) in their scope of work and pricing for this project. The bidder will not include cabling, wiring, terminal connections, etc in their scope/price for this project. These services will be provided under separate agreement between the Poudre River Public Library District (Owner) and the City of Fort Collins. Any reference in these specifications to an (SCC) “Structured Cabling Contractor” shall revert back to the Owner and to their agreement with the City for information technology services. The Owner shall require the City to designate a specific (MIS) communications project manager to work under the City representative (facilities project manager). Under the auspices of the facilities project manager, the (MIS) communications project manager shall coordinate with the general contractor and Owner on any information technology issues and/or scheduling that may affect the Work. Note: This clarification does not override any specification in Division 26 - Electrical. 3.) In Division 27 – Communications, Section 27 10 00, Part I General, 1.3 Project Contractor Requirements and Cabling System Warranty; delete item 1.3, D. entirely. 4.) With regard to telecommunications building and network standards, the City of Fort Collins Building Design Standards, Appendix G, “Telecommunications Building & Network Standards” shall either replace or override any specification in Division 27 of the Poudre River Public Library District, Main Library Remodel and Expansion Project Manual.
