City of Fort Collins 0 of Purchasing and Risk Management September 1, 2011 Ms. Kathleen Benedict City of Fort Collins Park Planning and Development PO Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522-0580 Staley Park Civil Engineering Project Description and Scope of Services Dear Kathleen - Attached is the project scope and description that we discussed: Description IRTlR."ST CON SUITING GROUP Interwest will provide the civil engineering plans, required stormwater modeling, and coordinate the civil and architectural package for Staley (Radiant) Park in southeast Fort Collins. Scope of Services Civil Engineering Plans — Interwest will prepare the required grading, erosion control, and utility plans as well as the drainage and erosion control report required for the project's approval by the Fort Collins Loveland Water District, South Fort Collins Sanitation District, and the City of Fort Collins Development Review Center. The plans will also include the layout of the two planned pedestrian bridges (structural design by others). Estimated Fee: $25,000 McClelland's Creek Floodplain Modeling — Interwest will prepare the duplicate effective, corrected effective and proposed iloodplain models for the McClelland's Channel within park as well as the required floodplain report. This will be an iterative process requiring multiple meetings with the design team and the stormwater department in order to achieve a design that works for all parties. Estimated Fee: $30,000 Floodplain process assistance — Interwest will assist the City with the Floodplain Use Permit and the Erosion Buffer Waiver required for the project. Estimated Fee: $2,000 SWMP — Interwest will prepare an erosion control plan and a stormwater management plan for the initial application to the State for the project. Estimated Fee: $2,000 Plan Coordination — Interwest will work with the City and Aller, Lingle, Massey to pull the various plan sheets together into a single plan set for bidding. Interwest will take detailed "core area" drawings and the landscape design from the City and put it into plan sheets for the project. Estimated Fee: $5,500 Reimbursables— for prints, mileage, and deliveries, etc... Estimated Fee: $500 Total Estimated Fee: $65,000 1218 W. ASH, STE. No surveying services are included — all topographic survey, construction survey, platting and legal descriptions will be provided by the City. 2. No changes to the adjacent public streets or sidewalks is'amicipated. 3. No formal public outreach as it relates to the park or floodplain is included. 4. No negotiations with PSD are included. 5. Specifications, quantities, and contract documents provided by others. 6. Environmental, structural, traffic, electrical (photometric), and geotechnical engineering provided by others. 7. Construction Administration, Construction Management, Record Drawings, Drainage Certification, and As Built Floodplain Modeling services are not included. A separate construction contract will be prepared after the contractor is selected. Schedule Interwest will begin work on the project immediately and intends to meet the City's design schedule for the project.
